In order to actively play a leading role, Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics (ZJTIE) introduced Zhejiang International Maritime College to the City of Glasgow College (CoGC) on June, 2016. And for this time, being invited by Zhejiang International Maritime College, vice president Huang Chunlin of ZJTIE and representatives of CoGC went to Zhejiang International Maritime College to attend the consultation for further collaboration on September 28th and September 29th.
On the consultation, Li Li, vice president of Zhejiang International Maritime College, introduced their university from the following three aspects: the establishment of their departments, orientation of running the university, and the current situation of international cooperation. Dean of the international institute of educationWang Weiping put forward the idea of applying for international cooperation with CoGC in marine tourism specialty and it was approved by Robert Allan Gardner, corporate development director of CoGC. And WangWeiping discussed with Marion Mcnabwho is the Dean of faculty of supply chain logistics of CoGC on some specific issues such as the revision of syllabus and the introduction of the curriculum, and they also arranged the timetable for the application.
Huang Chunlin, vice president of ZJTIE, summarized the discussion and hoped that the three universities would develop together on the following aspects: international cooperation, teacher training and student exchange program. And Huang Chunlin, vice president of ZJTIE, also invited CoGC and Zhejiang International Maritime College to participate in the coffee skills competition whichwill be held in ZJTIE at the end of October.
