ZJTIE Participates in Launch Ceremony of PMYP Special Vocational Skills Training and "Practice for Skills" International Digital Education Platform
On October 20, the launch ceremony for the Special Vocational Skills Training under the Prime Minister's Youth Program (PMYP) of Pakistan and the Practice for Skills International Digital Education Platform was held in Islamabad. Ke Konglin, President of ZJTIE and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, along with Ye Linliang, Member of the Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department (Office of Talent), as well as representatives from the Foreign Affairs Office, the School of Modern Logistics, and the School of Digital Commerce, attended the event online. ZJTIE delivered a speech as a representative of Chinese institutions.

Ke Konglin introduced the ZJTIE's history and its achievements in international cooperation, reviewing the collaborative developments in vocational education with Pakistan. He stated that ZJTIE will work hand-in-hand with various partners to co-build, share, and jointly operate the China-Pakistan Digital Trade Silk Road College. A series of projects and activities will be carried out in areas such as talent cultivation, employee training, the development of vocational standards and resources, and cultural exchanges. These efforts aim to empower the sustainable development of Chinese enterprises in Pakistan, support the advancement and implementation of the Prime Minister's Youth Program, and contribute to the development of human resources and the enhancement of vocational education in Pakistan. The Silk Road College will be developed into a new benchmark for cooperation and exchange between China and Pakistan.
At the ceremony, Mr. Muhammad Aamir Jan, Executive Director of NAVTTC, Pakistan, and Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, unveiled the International Digital Education Platform and announced the first list of teacher training bases for the PMYP Special Vocational Skills Training.ZJTIE was included in this list.

The Prime Minister's Youth Program (PMYP) is a significant project for in-depth vocational education cooperation between China and Pakistan. The program focuses on systematic and standardized digital skills training, aiming to provide high-quality vocational skills education for Pakistani youth and cultivate localized talent tailored to the economic and trade cooperation between China and Pakistan. The project plans to train 1,000 high-quality instructors within two years and, through a blended online and offline model, cultivate 100,000 local skilled professionals in Pakistan over five years. Future efforts will include 40 to 50 teacher training and skills development programs in 14 key areas such as artificial intelligence, cross-border e-commerce, and digital marketing. Training centers and teacher training bases will be established in Pakistan to collaboratively build a comprehensive end-to-end training system.
