ZJTIE Attends the 26th China International Education Conference and Signs MoU with Eastern Institute of Technology,New Zealand

The 26th China International Education Conference was held in Beijing on October 30. Leaders including Chinese Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng and New Zealand Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills Shane Reti attended the opening ceremony. With the theme Seeing the World through Education, this year's conference invited New Zealand as the Guest Country of Honor, bringing together government officials and experts from the education sectors of multiple countries.

As the Chinese leading unit of the Cross-border Supply Chain and Logistics Professional Committee under the China-New Zealand Vocational Education Development Alliance, ZJTIE sent a delegation led by President and Deputy Party Secretary Ke Konglin, and Party Committee Member and Director of the Organization Department (Talent Office) Ye Linliang to participate in the 2nd China-New Zealand Education Development Forum. Witnessed by Chinese Vice Minister of Education Ren Youqun and New Zealand Minister for Tertiary Education and Skills Shane Reti, Ke Konglin signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with New Zealand's Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) on behalf of ZJTIE.

During the parallel forum on applied education, Ke Konglin delivered a speech titled Cultivating Interdisciplinary and Innovative Technical Talent in the Context of Industry-Education Integration. He analyzed the necessity of nurturing such talent from the perspectives of Innovative China, Innovative Zhejiang, the disruptive impact of AI on industries, and the need for tailored student development approaches. He further elaborated on the pathways for cultivating interdisciplinary and innovative technical talent by enhancing teachers' applied research capabilities, implementing authentic practical teaching, and strengthening the development of students' potential for technical innovation. His speech garnered strong responses from Chinese and international attendees.
