ZJTIE International Student Team Wins Provincial Silver Medal in "Understanding Contemporary China" Competition and Advances to National Finals
The results of the third FLTRP · ETIC Cup Understanding Contemporary China Zhejiang Provincial College Student Foreign Language Skills Contest (Short Video Category) have recently been announced. Under the guidance of instructors Xu Feng and Hai Xia from the Public Foreign Language Teaching Office, and Kang Chunxiao from the School of International Education, the team of international students—LTIANG JIA LEONG, TENG KAI QI, and LIEW JIN LEI—stood out among fierce competition with their original work, Pearls Stringing the New Silk Road, Beauty Connecting Hearts. They secured the silver medal in the short video category (International Chinese Group) and earned the valuable opportunity to represent Zhejiang Province in the national finals.

This year's competition was highly competitive, with only two vocational college teams advancing to the national finals while competing against numerous undergraduate institutions. This achievement marks a historic breakthrough for ZJTIE in this top-tier competition and fully demonstrates the institution's comprehensive strength in foreign language teaching, international Chinese education, and the cultivation of innovative talent.

This outstanding result stems from the dedicated efforts and meticulous refinement of the student-faculty team, as well as the professional guidance of the School of General Education and the strong support of the School of International Education. Under the instructors' continuous guidance, the team conducted multiple rounds of detailed refinement and cross-cultural expression optimization, focusing on key aspects such as script conception, filming techniques, and post-production. Through repeated intensive coaching and specialized discussions, they maintained full control over the work's linguistic quality and artistic presentation, laying a solid foundation for their eventual success.

The FLTRP · ETIC Cup Understanding Contemporary China College Student Foreign Language Skills Contest, jointly organized by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press and the China International Talent Exchange Association, has become a benchmark for national foreign language competitions in higher education due to its high standards, prestige, and influence. ZJTIE will continue to uphold the principle of promoting teaching, learning, and reform through competitions, actively providing platforms for students to showcase their talents and hone their skills. We remain committed to deepening educational and teaching reforms, enhancing the quality of talent cultivation, and injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of our institution.
