    ZJTIE Awarded Special Contribution Award for China-Pakistan Vocational Education

    On December 23rd, the Seminar on International Cooperation and Exchange: Integration of Industry and Education in Vocational Education between China and Pakistan, jointly organized by the China General Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Pakistan in China, and co-hosted by ZJTIE and ITMC Technology Co., Ltd., was held in Beijing. More than 100 Chinese and international guests attended the event, including Ma Wei, Vice President of the China General Chamber of Commerce; Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China; and Muhammad Amir Jan, Director General of Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Training Commission.

    As a co-organizer of the seminar, ZJTIE sent a delegation led by Li Xiaoyang, Director of the Office of Foreign Affairs and Dean of the International Education College. At the seminar, ZJTIE was honored with the Special Contribution Award for China-Pakistan Vocational Education by the Embassy of Pakistan in China. Additionally, ZJTIE was officially designated as the development unit for Pakistan’s e-commerce professional standards and was presented with the certificate for the Pakistan Vocational Education Teacher Training Base. This recognition marks the official certification of the e-commerce professional standards developed under ZJTIE’s leadership by Pakistani government agencies and the formal establishment of the training base.

    Director Li Xiaoyang delivered a keynote speech titled Adhere to Open Education and Build a New Pattern of International Exchange and Cooperation, sharing ZJTIE’s practical experience in international collaboration and insights from the construction of the China-Pakistan Digital Trade Silk Road College. He noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations and coincides with the upgrading of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. ZJTIE will continue to leverage its strengths in platform development, professional expertise, and institutional mechanisms, collaborating closely with enterprises and aligning education with industrial output. The aim is to deepen the localized development of the China-Pakistan Digital Trade Silk Road College and build an internationally recognized brand for exchange and cooperation with distinct ZJTIE characteristics.

    Since 2024, ZJTIE has engaged in vocational education cooperation with Pakistan. Building on the foundation of the China-Pakistan Digital Trade Silk Road College, ZJTIE has taken the lead in developing e-commerce professional standards for Pakistan. It has exported multiple curriculum standards, vocational skill standards, and vocational education teaching equipment to Pakistan, provided e-commerce skills training for Chinese enterprises operating in Pakistan, and played an active role as a teacher training base for Pakistan’s vocational education sector. ZJTIE is also deeply involved in the first batch of projects under the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP).
