    ZJTIE Launches Online Kickoff Meeting for ZJTIE WPS (Thailand) Silk Road College Project

    On April 3, ZJTIE held the online kickoff meeting for the ZJTIE WPS (Thailand) Silk Road College project. Nie Hua, Vice President and Party Committee member, represented the institution at the meeting. Also in attendance were Lou Jianlie, Dean of the School of Digital Technology; Kang Chunxiao, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office); and Wang Yiyong, Head of the Big Data Program at the School of Digital Technology. Representatives from Udon Thani Rajabhat University (Thailand), Kingsoft Office, and other Chinese enterprises participated in the meeting.

    In his address, Nie Hua noted that the Thailand Silk Road College represents a significant step forward in the institution's mission to advance vocational education going global. ZJTIE aims to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents who are proficient in technology, fluent in language, and cross-culturally competent, while building a new paradigm for international education characterized by school-enterprise collaboration and integration of industry and education. He expressed the hope that the Silk Road College would serve as a bridge of connection fostering mutual understanding between the people of China and Thailand.


    During the meeting, Khanisara Thanyasunthornsakun, President of the Thai partner university, introduced the basic profile of Udon Thani Rajabhat University. She expressed her hope that both sides could leverage their respective academic strengths to carry out substantive cooperation within the framework of the Silk Road College.


    Huang Jin, Overseas Sales Manager of Kingsoft Office, presented the company's overseas business areas and the potential for the ZJTIE WPS (Thailand) Silk Road College to empower enterprises.


    In late December 2025, ZJTIE signed a strategic framework cooperation agreement for the ZJTIE WPS (Thailand) Silk Road College with Udon Thani Rajabhat University and Kingsoft Office. This project serves as a key driver in implementing ZJTIE's Famous Stone project for vocational education going global, promoting the export of high-quality Five Golden Items (referring to high-standard vocational education outputs). Moving forward, under the guidance of platforms such as the Silk Road College, ZJTIE will develop a range of high-quality vocational education standards, resources, and equipment, providing strong support for subsequent vocational skills training in Thailand and empowering the development of Chinese enterprises operating there.
