    COGC-ZJTIE Program Announced as a Winner of the 2022 China-Scotland Business Awards

    At the Chinese Burns Supper held by China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) on 10 March, 2022, in Edinburgh, the winners of the 2022 China-Scotland Business Awards were announced. ZJTIE and the City of Glasgow College stood out from three nominees and won the Award of Educational Partnership of the Year.

    Locates in central Glasgow, the City of Glasgow College is one of Scotland’s largest technical and professional skills college. The college has a group of highly qualified teaching staff on Supply Chain and Logistics , and are recognized by its professional reputation. It won the Best Nominee Award of The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) in 2013 and was selected by CIPS as a center of excellence.


    ZJTIE has been in partnership with the City of Glasgow College since 2015. Powered by the rich teaching and practicing experience from both institutes, the speciality of Supply Chain and Logistics aims to equip students with modern theory, techniques and an international insight on supply chain management. In 2019, the major was listed as a high-level professional group in the High-level Higher Vocational College Construction Project launched by the Ministry of Education of China. So far, over 200 students have graduated with a Certificate in Supply Chain and Logistics thanks to the partnership.


    The China-Scotland Business Awards were established in 2018 by China-Britain Business Council, the UK’s national business network promoting trade and investment with China. As the only China-focused business awards in Scotland, the awards attract a large number of enterprises and institutes every year to take part in the participation, and were highly valued by the Chinese Embassy in the UK and Consulate-General of China in Edinburgh.


    This year, by announcing the awards, CBBC recognized the vital work being done in areas such as climate change and education, as well as celebrated some of the huge success stories in exports and entrepreneurship.


    This award highly recognized the partnership between ZJTIE and the City of Glasgow College. It is an important achievement of ZJTIE in high-level higher vocational college construction, international cooperative education, and internationalization of vocational education.
