In order to actively play a leading role and introduce Zhejiang International Maritime College to the City of Glasgow College, Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics (ZJTIE), Zhejiang International Maritime College, and the City of Glasgow College (CoGC) conducted an in-depth consultation. Based on the cooperation on logistics specialty between ZJTIE and CoGC, Zhejiang International Maritime College made full use of the advantage of specialty of marine navigation and tried to establish the cooperation with CoGC on the aspects of marine navigation.
Recently, the consultation among ZJTIE, Zhejiang International Maritime College, and CoGC was held in ZJTIE, and Vice President Huang Chunlin of ZJTIE chaired the meeting. Vice President Huang Chunlin warmly welcomed the two colleges’ visiting, and warmly welcomed President Wang Jie, Deputy Party Secretary Chen Dingliang, and External Affairs Office Director Wang Ping from Zhejiang International Maritime College, and also welcomed Corporate Development Director Robert Allen Gardner, Business Development and Technical Institute Director Carla Marie Gethin from the City of Glasgow College.
With the help of ZJTIE, Zhejiang International Maritime College and the City of Glasgow College carried out consultation and cooperation, and finally they reached the following intentions of collaboration: firstly, they would establish the specialty of marine navigation; secondly, they would introduce online and offline courses in the related specialty; thirdly, since ZJTIE will send eight teachers to CoGC for training in August, Zhejiang International Maritime College also discussed with the City of Glasgow College in order to undertake similar teachers training project in the future; fourthly, after the opening ceremony of logistics specialty cooperated by ZJTIE and CoGC in September, Zhejiang International Maritime College would invite teachers from the City of Glasgow College to pay a visit to their campus which located in Zhoushan.
Both Zhejiang International Maritime College and the City of Glasgow College expressed their sincere gratitude to our college that serves as a bridge to bring them a chance to collaborate with each other.
