On December 26, 2021, at the China Regional Final of the 2021 World AeroPress Coffee Contest, Zhu Qingyu, a student majoring in Hotel Management and Digital in ZJTIE, stood out among 32 professional players and won the 2nd prize, which was also the best result for college students in the national coffee competition.
In this competition, the candidates were made to deliver their scheme online to participate. Three external professional coffee makers made the coffee according to the scheme delivered by the players on spot, and a professional evaluation team was invited for appraisal. This competition mode could fully display the candidates’ understanding of coffee beans and utensils, and could highlight the professional level of the player.
It is reported that many students majoring in Hotel Management and Digital Operation in ZJTIE have achieved good results in various major coffee competition in the industry this year, which highlights the fruitful outcomes of the docking of professional talent training in our school with the industry standards and frontiers, and school-enterprise collaborative education.
