April 16th, the graduation ceremony of the 2024 Sino-Canada joint project was held in the lecture hall. Larry Rosia, President of Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Has Malik, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairsof SP, Kristen Craig, Dean of the School of Business and ICTof SP, Ke Konglin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of ZJTIE, Ye Linliang, Member of the Party Committee, Wang Qian, Dean of the School of Finance and Accounting, and representatives of the teachers of the two schools, graduates of the Sino-Canada joint project and their class advisors attended the ceremony.
In his speech, President Ke Konglin affirmed the internationalization achievements of the school in recent years and sent his best wishes to the graduates and wished them would practice excellent skills, refine their character, improve their core qualities, and become international talents adapted to the era of globalization and informationization.
President Larry Rosia expressed his sincere congratulations to the graduates and wished them to maintain their integrity and spirit of inquiry to become the future pillars of society.
Ms.Lai Weiyi, the graduates' representitive and Ms. Wang Xiaolei, the teachers' representative, made their speeches in both Chinese and English.Ms. Lai,on behalf of all the graduates, expressed gratitude for the cultivation of their alma mater and teachers over the past three years, while Ms. Wang Xiaolei sent her message to the graduates that they should continue to work hard to meet the new challenges and create new achievements.
President Ke and President Rosia then presented diplomas to the graduates.
After the graduation ceremony, the Chinese and Canadian sides held a consultation meeting and had in-depth exchanges on areas, mechanism, connotation and directionof their cooperation, and reached a broad consensus.
The program of financial Service and Management of Sino-Canada joint project startedenrollment in 2021, and the current graduates are its first batch of graduates. Relying on this activity, the two sides of Sino-Canada cooperation have discussed the future cooperation path and drawn the blueprint for futur edevelopment, adding new vitality to the upgrading internationalization of the institute,and the high-quality development of opening up to the outside world.
